Derived from a bovine source and freeze-dried (lyophilized), Ox Bile is a suitable supplement to the liver’s production of bile.

Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, 1 capsule three times daily with meals, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

Other ingredients: Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, L-leucine.

Keep in a cool, dry place, tightly capped.

Comments: Bile is naturally produced by the body and is used in the process of digestion.  Symptoms of constipation and a tan coloured stool may indicate that the body’s production of bile is less than optimal.

If you have difficulty digesting fats in the initial stages of the GAPS diet, you may need to supplement with Ox Bile with your meals to help breakdown and digest fats. Ox bile with additional digestive enzymes are appropriate for the short term. People who have had their gallbladder removed will need to take Ox Bile for a while with meals.

Ox bile will help break down the fats, may help with constipation and help in the assimilation of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K and other essential fatty acids. Beets, beet kvass and fermented vegetables will also help with digestion.
